
Stephen Foertsch, Plan Admin
Stephen Foertsch is the Legal Defense Fund Legal Administrator and a Partner at Bruno Law, PLLC, where he and his partners defend officers in on-duty critical incidents and against off-duty charges. He and Fred Bruno recently gained an acquittal for a Minneapolis Police Officer at trial, upon charges of Second-Degree Assault from an on-duty shooting. The firm remains undefeated in the defense of on-duty charges, and 99% of the firm’s law enforcement clients have retained their POST licenses. Stephen educates other attorneys on various topics through continuing legal education, writes a monthly column for Bench & Bar, writes a yearly chapter in the Minnesota DWI Deskbook, and has been published in The Hennepin Lawyer. He graduated from William Mitchell College of Law and is now an adjunct professor at Mitchell Hamline School of Law.
